Could our nephew BE any cuter??!!

My new sis is such an awesome mom to this little one. He is SUCH a love bug. When I am around him, I remember what it was like to just be a happy little kid, loving everyone and everything (including a 2 foot statue of Jesus that he says hello to and kisses everyday...LOL), and just being a kid. I am so blessed to be around him a bunch to be reminded of that fun little spirit. As adults, we seem to lose that often when life gets tough, or things that surprise us come along, but being reminded of how to just be carefree and "kid-like" is a welcomed lightbulb. Love you, buddy!!

It's the simple things in life...

This past week has been an insightful one for me. I have thought a lot about the amazing people I have in my life and I am so grateful to have them. People always told me that eventually you reach a point in your life when you want only people in your life who support you, challenge you (in the best ways possible), trust you (and vice versa), who you can have fun with, who you can completely be yourself with, and the list goes on. I feel extremely lucky to have found that in my wonderful husband, but I also want to recognize that I have found that in my closest friends and family. It is a very cool thing when you can honestly say you are happy in your life, with those who are a special part of it, and also with where the future will take you. I spent the weekend with my mom and dad, as well as some wonderful friends (lunches/dinner and the festival on Sunday), and I woke up today feeling a huge wave of happiness. I understand that happiness comes and goes, as life can have very difficult moments, too, but to have those moments of clarity and joy....it's a tremendous thing. I am so grateful for those moments, for my close friends and family, for my best friend/husband, and for so many other things in this life that give me complete peace and joy. Thank you all for your continued prayers for my dad, Charlie. Thank you all for keeping friendship and love SIMPLE, and for just existing with love and harmony. Thank you for helping to make the life I live better...everyday.

Jersey Shore, baby!!!

Soooooo...I have been promising my sister-in-law a trip to the Jersey Shore for the last five years! This weekend, we finally went!! Not only was the whole beach weekend filled with gorgeous, sunny weather, but moreso, filled with laughter and fun! It was so amazing to not only see my new sis loving Jersey, but to be with my old friends from childhood and just being silly for 72 hours, was completely awesome!! No shower-happy hour was hilarious, dinner on Saturday at the Pour-house was even funnier, and our time at the beach and our sweet pool was wonderful!! Lots to laugh about as I look through all of our ridiculous photos, but here are a few to capture some moments of this weekend!!
