Court was held on Tuesday morning and a verdict was reached.
The man who held us up at gunpoint is going away for 25 years (although he may not see all of those years...up for parole at possibly 15 years). Even though the damage he caused, both mentally and physically, to me, my husband, and countless others, was tremendously sucky...I am so glad to see that he is now locked up...where he should be.
An article came out today talking about him and his crimes. Is it wrong to hope he rots in there??
I am surrounded by a loving group of friends, family and co-workers (who I also consider to be friends and family) and I wanted to start blogging to keep everyone informed about the wedding, my crazy health, and just insight into the silly mind of me.

A dream come true...
So, thirty-one years ago, I was born to one of the greatest Eagles fans out there, my dad. He taught me the game and promised that one day, we would GO to an Eagels game together. Well folks, that day finally came.
September 25, 2011, my husband and I took my dad to the Lincoln Stadium to see the Eagles play the NYGiants. And even though our team played like a high school team, we were SO happy to be there, together, after a lifetime of living and loving football together:)
The fun was also telling my dad we had nose-bleed seats, but then surprising him with SIXTH row seats. I have never seen my dad so surprised and speechless. VERY cool to give him that opportunity to see the field and players so close for the first time.
As the Eagles ran through the tunnel, they played Phil Collin's song, "I can feel it coming in the air tonight," and the line was, "I've been waiting for this moment, for all my life." At that moment, I looked up at my dad and said, "I really have been waiting for this my whole life." He hugged me and it was more special than words could explain.
Thanks for coming to visit dad...and for helping make one of my greatest dreams come true.
Love you.

How did I get so lucky to have the coolest Grandmother on the planet?!
My Bubba is the best. I feel SO fortunate to have her in my life. Not only is she a gorgeous woman (who has not aged since I have known her, BTW), gorgeous both on the outside and inside, but she is an amazing friend. My Bubba is so completely vibrant and wise. I love that my brother and I can call her several times a week to fill her in on our crazy lives, hear about her life, and then get advice from this time-machine of endless brilliance. She always knows the right things to say and makes me think about things in a new light. She is spiritual, intuitive, honest, giving, and loving.
She is my grandmother, one of my best friends, my confidant, and so much more.
I love you so much, Bubba!!

An amazing birthday weekend!
So, here I sit, newly brunette (picture posted for those of you who have been asking what on earth I look like now), as a 31-year old, happy lady!
This weekend was the perfect birthday weekend! Spent Friday-Sunday down in Ocean Pines, MD with K, B, & L (some of my amazing Baltimore girls). K's aunt lent us her beautiful home and I was showered with lots of love. The weekend started on Friday with four girls, in a cozy cabin in the woods, chatting it up until 4:30 am. B is about four months pregnant and looks gorgeous, btw!! After a refreshing night sleep, we stayed in our pj's and spent the day being bums, watching movies, eating yummy food, etc. At night, the girls took me to The Cultured Pearl (a delicious sushi place) in Rehobeth, DE. Dinner was awesome, but the company was even better.
When we went back home to the house, as it neared midnight...my 31st birthday, I changed into comfy pants (which was key because of how much I ate...LOL) and when I came out, lights were dimmed and a sweet little cake was covered in candles for me to make my birthday wish!
This morning, they cooked me birthday breakfast before we hit the road. It was such an awesome weekend spent with three girls who I hope I make feel as special as they always make me feel:)
I got home this afternoon to my adorable husband waiting for me on the porch! Even though his Ravens didn't win, he still had the biggest smile on his face, waiting for me to open my birthday presents!!! He not only got me a KICK-BUTT Eagles sweatshirt (which I will rock next Sunday to the Eagles-Giants game), but he got me this ridiculous camera I have been dreaming of AND he is taking me to the Baltimore Symphony next month (I have always wanted to go!!)....so not that physical gifts are important....BUT...M did one heck of a job giving me some clutch gifts this special birthday!!!!
He ordered me my very own Domino's pizza for dinner and we get to watch my Eagle's tonight....seriously amazing birthday weekend.
I will also mention how much birthday love I got today from TONS of people in my life!!! I heard from over 100 people today and that alone brought tears to my eyes. SO much love being sent my way is enough to get me through every hard time in my life. I have a feeling this is going to be an interesting year.......
Can't wait for every minute of it!!
Love to everyone in my life...you all make me better. Everyday.
GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
